Throat ache is something that we all have to deal with in the winter days. Almost all of us experience at some point when the weather gets cold and it makes us furious. Mostly, throat ache is caused by the dry air due to constant heating and straining our throat. In this post, we’ll try and give you a few natural methods to get rid of it quickly and easily.
How To Deal With Throat Ache?
1. Grandma’s old recipe
This is one of our favorites due to its simplicity and the wonders it does to your throat. In 250 ml of water add two tablespoons of honey and heat it up before it boils. Be careful because the water must not reach its boiling point. When it is warm enough, remove it from the fire and add two tablespoons of lemon juice. If you prefer a sweeter drink, you can also add a little bit of brown sugar.
This is also an old method for cleaning your airways and it helps a lot if you have a running nose. Fill up three mugs of water, add a bag of tea of your choice, and a little bit of chamomile. Boil it and let it cool down for up to a minute. After that, put the boiled water into an inhalation bowl and then put a towel over your head. Put your head down so you can feel the steam gently touching your face. Then, start breathing through your nose for 5-10 minutes if you have a running nose, or through your mouth for curing throat ache. This is a great method to relieve tension and it’s quite cost efficient as well.
3. Wet Towel Method
In order to do this, you will need a towel and chamomile tea. Boil up some water, put in the chamomile tea and put a towel in it as well. When the tea cools down a little bit, squeeze the towel so it isn’t that wet and wrap it around your neck. Do this as many times as necessary in order to relieve the throat ache.
We hope that this guide helps you with your throat ache problems. These are some of the best natural methods to cure and relieve this straining problem that somehow, always ends up catching up to us in the colder months.
